Orticolario – Cernobbio, Lake Como

3-6 October 2024. Performances and rare plants in the festival of the new garden

From October 3rd to 6th, 2024, in the historic park of Villa Erba in Cernobbio (near Como), Orticolario, the fair event dedicated to nature and gardening, celebrates its 14th edition.

Orticolario is an event dedicated to the evolution of gardening as a proposal of  “a new relationship between people and the surrounding environment, it is a new way to experiment with a coexistence between love for nature and passion for beauty as a way of life ” says Moritz Mantero, founder and president of Orticolario.

The fair takes place in Cernobbio, in the gardens of Villa Erba, home of Luchino Visconti whose ancient park is an ideal setting for Orticolario and its art installations.

The exhibition of plants and flowers includes unusual and collectible plants by national and international nurserymen, artistic crafts, and art and design installations.

In the program cultural meetings, educational-creative activities and workshops also for children.

Orticolario also has an environmental and social vocation: since the first edition, during these three days, it donates contributions to associations of the territory of Como.

Over the years the fair has become a very successful event, registering over 30,000 visitors.
