Garlic Fair – Monticelli d’Ongina

4-6 October 2024. Monticelli celebrates its top quality garlic

From October 4th to 6th, 2024 in Monticelli d’Ongina, in the province of Piacenza, takes place the 49th edition of Garlic Fair, a specialty of Monticelli.

During the Garlic fair, food stands and a historical parade in medieval clothes animate the streets and squares of the city.

Monticelli garlic is a top-quality variety.

The cultivation of this plant dates back to ancient times in ancient Egypt.
Apart from its nutritional properties, the plant is also used for therapeutic purposes.
