Green Christmas Market – Milan
16-17 December 2023. A Christmas Eco-market for green gifts
Green Christmas, the “greenest” Christmas event in Milan, is back on Saturday, December 16, and Sunday, December 17, 2023, to promote a natural lifestyle.
Visitors can find eco-fashion clothing, ecologic design objects and organic makeup for zero-impact living.
All products are made with organic fibers and natural dyeing, while clothes and accessories have been chosen for their sustainability, high quality and unique style. Plus, home furnishing, natural cosmetics and, of course, gifts for children and Christmas decorations.
All these eco-friendly products are made from recycled materials, or they meet environmental standards.
Green Christmas is hosted in the evocative Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia, an old foundry in the Isola district in Milan. Founded in 1806 by the Manfredini brothers, in the 19th century the foundry became an important church-bell manufacturer. It was later bought by the Barigozzi family, who run it until 1975. Some well-known statues have been created in Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia: the Monument to King Victor Emmanuel II in Milan Cathedral Square, Alessandro Manzoni and Luciano Manara statues in San Fedele square and in the Public Gardens.
The old buildings have been renewed and are now used as a place for work, art, culture and events. The museum dedicated to the history of metalworking technique can be visited upon reservation.
