Pomaria, The Apple Festival – Livo

October 12-13, 2024, a big feast celebrating the apple.

From October 12 to 13th 2024 – as every year the second week of October – takes place in Trentino the feast of the apple, Pomaria celebrating the special apples of Non Valley and Sole Valley

The name Pomaria comes from the Latin word “pomarium” (orchard), and it was conceived to honor the goddess Pomona, protector of the orchards.

For 2 days, the Valley becomes the kingdom of the apple: visitors can pick apples directly from the trees, learn how to cook strudels, get to know and taste the different varieties of apples and their recipes, participate in workshops and tastings.

Further events include concerts, food and wine tastings, folklore, a market with local products, guided tours and walks, and contests to find the biggest and weirdest apples.

For kids: games, fairy tales, movies.

There is also a contest, awarding both the heaviest and the strangest apple
