Umbria hosts lots of feasts, festivals, re-enactments and fairs all year long.
The most popular cultural events which include top artirts from all over the world are the Festival dei due Mondi in Spoleto (a theater festival in June), and the Umbria Jazz (musical festival) in Perugia. scheduled for over 40 years both in summer and in winter, and the Todi Festival, one of the most important Italian cultural events about theater taking place in July.

Among the food events, they are very popular the classic Saffron Market Fair (Cascia, between October and November), and the Norcia Black Truffle Fair in February.

There are also many folkloristic events. The best known is the Ceri Race in Gubbio (May 15), the Challenge and the Rematch of the Giostra della Quintana in Foligno.

There are also many curious museums such as the Malacological Museum Malakos in Città di Castello (Perugia), the Museum of Painted Eggs in Civitella del Lago (Terni) and the Museum of Mummies in Ferentillo (Terni).
