Umbria – Info
Umbria counts two provinces: Perugia, the region capital and Terni.
This region is located in the Centre of Italy. It is a landlocked region, and it preserve its landscape very well.
How to get to Umbria:
– by car: highway A1 (Milano – Napoli), A14 ( “Adriatica” which connects Bologna to Taranto), E45 (a road axis connecting more than one european region starting from Karesuvanto in Finland and Gela in Sicily);
– by train: main stations are Foligno, Terni and Perugia but they stay on a secondary line, so it is necessary to change train in Rome or Florence;
– by plane: there is a new airport in Perugia, designed by Gae Aulenti, but is not fully functioning;
– by bus: connection between the main cities and Rome and Florence daily.
