The region capital is Rome, also the capital of the Bel Paese (Italy) and one of the most beautiful, famous and visited cities in the world. The other provinces are: Frosinone, Latina, Rieti and Viterbo.
Heart of Italy, Lazio is well connected both nationally and internationally:
– by car: by the A1 motorway;
– by train: thanks to both regular and high-speed trains. The main stations are Rome, Latina and Frosinone. Rome is the main railway junction of central Italy for high-speed trains and for the Trans-European conventional rail network (TEN-T) as No.1 connecting point between the South (starting from Palermo), the Central and Northern Italy and Berlin;
– by plane: thanks to the international airports of Roma Ciampino and Roma Fiumicino connected also with direct flights to many of the major cities in the world.
